Description:
Students will explore the dynamic field of ceramics, from figurative sculpture and objects to industrial applications and functional ware. The principal component of the program is hands-on art-making that demonstrates individual expression, critical thinking, and an awareness of historical and contemporary art making. Rigorous expectations about craftsmanship and studio best practices help students to create a professional portfolio of work.
