Solve V=πhr^2 for r.
An oil leak covers a circular area with diameter 1km at 1:00p. At 1:20p, the diameter has increased to 1.5 km. The oil layer is 1 micron thick. Assume that the rate at which the oil leaks is constant.
a) Find the rate of the leak in cubic meters per minute.
b) Find a formula for the radius r of the circular area of the oil leak at t minutes since the leak began.
Find an equation whose graph contains the points (1,3), (2,7), and (3,11).
