Description:
This certificate will combine French language proficiency, business culture, and entrepreneurship to prepare students to seize opportunities in the global market. You will develop an extensive cultural and business knowledge of the French-speaking world which represents over 220 million French speakers and hundreds of billions of dollars spent by the consumer goods/services. French is the 6th spoken language in the world.
What can I do with this Major?

Graduates with this degree will be prepared to: 

  • Seek employment in the fields of Global Trade & Logistics, International Business, and Trade Occupations. 

  • Work as entrepreneur, global trade and logistics worker, business consultant, business operations specialist, supply chain specialist, logistics analyst, human resource specialist, cargo and freight agent, shipping, receiving, purchasing, and traffic clerk, sales clerk.  

  • Seek work for French-speaking companies with offices in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Africa and communicate well with potential customers, business partners, employers or vendors. 

  • Use Chabot French language course units for: 

  • AA in French degree 

  • Certificate of Achievement in French 

  • UC and CSU transfer requirements
