Description:
Completion of this degree program prepares you to confidently create precision parts out of numerous materials; how to read, understand, and create complex technical drawings; how to use mathematics and software to program computer numerical control (CNC) mills to create detailed geometric objects from prints or custom designs; and to use surface grinders, jigs and fixtures to create precision tools and dies for a wide range of manufacturing processes and products.
What can I do with this Major?

This degree will prepare you for employment in the following lucrative and desirable careers: machinist, industrial repair, mold maker, tool and die maker, model maker, CNC operator, CNC set-up, and CNC programmer. These occupations can be either an initial career path or a transitional path for existing machinists or industry employees
