This course is designed to give the students an advanced understanding of the more complex principles of the game so they can apply them in the game situation.
Prerequisite: PEAC SOC2.

Measurable Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
  1. demonstrate 2 v 2 soccer drill;
  2. demonstrate 3 v 3 soccer drills;
  3. play 5 v 5 soccer for 90 minutes non-stop.
Course Content:
  1. Review and practice of fundamentals of soccer:
    1. Kicking
    2. Passing
    3. Dribbling
    4. Trapping
    5. Tackling
    6. Heading
    7. Shooting
  2. Explanation, demonstration, and practice of the various aspects of
    1. Offense
    2. Defense
  3. Game Strategy
  4. Explanation, demonstration, and practice of drills relative to physical conditioning and improvement of the above skills
  5. Explanation and discussion of rules and rule changes at the college level
Methods of Instruction:

Assignments and Methods of Evaluating Student Progress:
  1. Demonstrate the ability to dribble the ball non stop for 30 minutes.
  2. Watch a video on offensive strategy then write a paper on 2 v 2 offensive strategies.
  3. demonstrate passing proficiency for a 2 v 2 offense.
