Measurable Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
  1. demonstrate the basic rules of 7 on 7 flag football;
  2. demonstrate how to block in 7 on 7 flag football;
  3. demonstrate how to run a zone defense in 7 on 7 flag football.
Course Content:
  1. Basic rules of flag football and how they differ from tackle football
  2. Rushing and blocking in flag football
  3. How to create a flag football tournament
  4. Refereeing flag football 
  5. Passing and running in flag football
  6. Defensive schemes for 7 on 7 flag football

Assignments and Methods of Evaluating Student Progress:
  1. Read the chapter on the game, field, players and equipment. Write a one page paper noting the differences between flag football and tackle football.
  2. Know the rules of flag football. Be prepared to officiate a flag football game from start to finish.
  3. Teach to the class the mechanics of a two-person, three-person and four-person official crew for a football game.
