Computational Design - Certificate of Achievement
Fall 2023
Catalog Description
Students completing the Certificate of Achievement in Computational Design develop the skills for many entry level research and analytics positions, including, optimizing systems, production, manufacturing, sustainability, setting up and conducting experiments for research and development firms, and design analysis. Students will be competent in MATLab and Simulink software as well as applying both the sciences and art of computing to design problems.
Career Opportunities
TOP Code 0924.00 - Engineering Technology, General (requires Trigonometry)*
CIP Code 14.0103 - Applied Engineering.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon the completion of the program the student should be able to:
- demonstrate an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health, safety, manufacturability, and sustainability;
- demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering.
