Elementary Teacher Education - Associate in Arts for Transfer

Catalog Description
The Associate in Arts in Elementary Teacher Education for Transfer Degree (AA-T) is specifically designed for students planning to transfer to a CSU campus with a major in Liberal Studies, Elementary Teacher Preparation. This degree encompasses the multiple subject matter program standards adopted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Students wishing to pursue the Associate in Arts for Transfer in Elementary Teacher Education must complete 60 semester units eligible for transfer to the California State University, including either: The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC for CSU) or the California State University General Education Breadth Requirements, and a minimum of 18 units of major coursework in the major, as detailed below. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, including grades of C (or P) or higher in each course taken to fulfill the major.
