Designed for the female softball player to develop her hitting, throwing and base running skills to the advanced level. High level game strategy will be covered.
Prerequisite: PEAC SSB2.

Measurable Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
  1. hit soft toss to any field at will;
  2. bunt to a spot on the infield;
  3. drag bunt;
  4. slide safely;
  5. place a tag correctly;
  6. perform a hit and run play.
Course Content:
  1. Hitting soft toss and live pitching.
  2. Directional hitting.
  3. Bunting
  4. Directional Bunting
  5. Drag bunts
  6. Sliding feet first
  7. Sliding head first
  8. Covering the bag on a play
  9. Covering second base
  10. Covering third place
  11. Covering first on a bunt
  12. Hit and run

  1. Practice/Demonstration

Assignments and Methods of Evaluating Student Progress:
  1. Diagram on the board when a hit and run play would be appropriate.
  2. Diagram on the board, player movement on a drag bunt towards first with a runner on first base.
  3. Demonstrate how to safely slide feet first.
  4. Demonstrate how to safely slide head first.
