PEAC ITC1 - Integrated Core Fitness

Integrated Core Fitness is designed to use a plethora of exercises in a high intensity interval training system to reduce belly fat, tone the body and improve cardiovascular endurance.

Measurable Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
  1. properly perform a squat with the olympic bar:
  2. perform a clean with proper form;
  3. perform a dead lift correctly;
  4. perform a snatch movement with the olympic bar correctly;
  5. demonstrate an overhead squat;
  6. do a pull up;
  7. do a push up correctly;
  8. complete a high intensity interval workout routine;
  9. measure their fitness using a multiple, diverse and fixed workloads.
Course Content:
  1. Correct form for performing a squat
  2. How to perform a clean
  3. Head, eyes and back when performing a dead lift
  4. How to perform an explosive snatch
  5. Overhead squatting
  6. Pull ups and Curl Ups
  7. 101 on push ups and all the variations
  8. High intensity Interval Training: Why it works

Assignments and Methods of Evaluating Student Progress:
  1. Read the chapter of how to squat then write a one page paper describing what to look for in a well executed squat. Demonstrate to the class how to do a proper squat.
  2. Keep a three week food journal. Once the three weeks are completed the student will review the journal and report on their nutritional strengths and weaknesses.
  3. The student will design on paper an integrated training session that covers the five basics movements and provides a cardiovascular training component.
