Measurable Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
identify and measure baseline fitness parameters to develop an exercise plan;
demonstrate appropriate training volumes and intensities;
determine which components of fitness need emphasis;
identify areas that may result in injury;
identify areas that need to improve with new training procedures;
demonstrate safe and effective use of the strength training equipment;
demonstrate an understanding of metabolism and its relationship to exercise.
Course Content:
1. Baseline fitness assessment
2. Care and safe use of exercising equipment
3. Demonstration of the five functional exercising movements
4. Explanation and demonstration of the different exercising tools that provide different training stimulus
5. Raising metabolism through strength and cardiovascular training
6. Re-assessment and evaluate comparisons

Demonstrate the five functional training movements using different training tools
Analyze and critique a classmate's functional exercise technique
Design a two week workout plan
