Fall 2020
Catalog Description
The Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer Degree is designed to prepare students for a seamless transfer with junior status and priority admission to a local CSU campus to a program or major in Physics or similar major for completion of a baccalaureate degree. Students are required to complete:
• Completion of 60 semester units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:

• Students must earn a C or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis.
• Obtainment of a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0.
The Associate in Science in Physics for Transfer Degree will also assist Physics major students to transfer other baccalaureate institutions. Students are advised to consult with a counselor to verify transfer requirements.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon the completion of the program the student should be able to:
- Read, diagram, and solve qualitatively and quantitatively key physics applications aided by correct and efficient lab experiments using industry standard equipment.
- Effectively, efficiently, and correctly run lab experiments using industry standard equipment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of experimentation and real world applications within the scientific method as well as a mastery of physics lab experiments through the submission of a complete lab report with all required elements present.
